The programm of this film festival is “Voices of Change” with a focus on empowerment, participation and resistance.

«We’re celebrating 10 years of the FRAUENSTARK! Film Festival! To mark the anniversary, we present a special program under the theme “Voices of Change,” featuring films that highlight empowerment, participation, and resistance. Each screening will be followed by a moderated discussion with selected guests. Our special guest this year is activist Adam Dicko from Mali.
With this year’s festival films, we seek to create closeness — even where distance and cultural differences separate us. In the stories of women, we find connection. Especially in times when international cooperation is under pressure, transnational solidarity is more important than ever. Our program is a statement for that.
For the anniversary, we have invited inspiring women who are committed to gender equality through their outstanding work and activism. Among our guests are, in addition to Adam Dicko, Zurich-based activist Sara Aduse, judge Eva Christ, Basel parliamentarian Barbara Heer, midwife Pascal Schreibmüller, experts from Halt Gewalt and the Specialist Unit on Human Trafficking and Migration, Sonja Merten (University of Basel), Alexandra Nicola (Co-Director IAMANEH), and many more.
