International Law Dis/Oriented: Queer Legacies and Queer Futures

Virtual Queer Workshop

27. September 2021 - 1. Oktober 2021
Organisations: The Graduate Institute with the contribution of FRI

The Workshop consists of ten different “Stations” where “Lead Travellers” engage with each other in transversal conversations about queer analytical sensibilities and queer methods in the study of international law.

Two Stations are public:

Wed. 29/09: “Gender theory in practice”: a conversation between Victor Madrigal Borloz (UN Independent Expert on sexual orientation and gender identity) and Dianne Otto (Professor at Melbourne Law School) - flyer
Thu. 30/09: Book launch: “Queer(s) et droit international” (FR/EN interpretation) - flyer

The other Stations are private, which means that the number of available places is limited to ensure that conversations stay intimate and dynamic. Available seats in these Stations will be reserved on a first come-first served basis.
Thus, we welcome Travellers who want to attend and participate in Stations that are part of our journey of queering international law. Travellers can register for the Stations of their interest through this link until 26 September 2021.

The Workshop will be carried out online on the Gather.Town platform. More instructions as to how to join will be provided to the registered participants.

In case of any questions, we can be reached at queerlaw@graduateinstitute.ch.
